Some more of Icona Pop's sweet jams for your way out!
What the hell Minneapolis? Icona Pop is in town and it's not sold out yet?! I am disappointed but don't worry I am not letting it hold me down because you better believe I will be there having the time of my life! if you are lucky I might even write about it later... but seriously. WTF.This is like every single girl's main jam and yet we can't even get our pretty butts out to Dinkytown to support these ladies! :( These lyrics are specifically why this song hits my heart hard and makes me want to dance my face off until next week! I am the definition of a 90ies baby, born in May of 1990 I permanently reside in the milky way and will not be held down on earth! Plus this dope chicka rapper is really talented too! K.Flay came on my radar pretty recently but I love everything I've heard. Born a one Kristine Flaherty, this girl has an edge and I might even call it a sort of 'tom-boy' persona and she rocks the shit out of it. Her music is full of wit, grunge and an undertone of girl power. K.flay is a well rounded woman who is hilarious to follow on twitter, & I am STOKED to see her stage performance! THIS SHOW HAS SO MUCH GIRL POWER!Any way... BUY TICKETS & JOIN ME // TONIGHT (9/10/13) at the VARSITY! xox, kp Some more of Icona Pop's sweet jams for your way out!

FRIDAYAwesome night out with Shell Marie and friends at The Loon. GAMPO SATURDAYPROF OUTDOORS AT THE CABOOZE WAS SUPER FLIPPIN' GAMPO. My favorite opener was MaLLy! He is my boy, I know every single word to his songs and his new tees are dope so of course I bought one. (Y'all will be seeing it as a cut-off soon!) Shell really enjoyed the performance by Soulcrate, at which time I was catching up with a beautiful friend of mine in from LA so it's not that I don't love Soulcrate but I didn't get to jam to this set as hard as Shelly. People watching at a Prof show is some of the world's best, I saw fashion dos, fashion don't, fashion WTFs but what is happening to the left is not ok. DON'T BE THAT GIRL without any shoes on! Holy shit do you know how much glass is on the ground and how quickly that could end your night. :: My Favorite Picture of the Night ::& we got social...SUNDAYI visited my family at The Foundry Home Goods. The Foundry Home Goods is a year old, so naturally we brought a pony to the city to help celebrate! I am so proud of Anna Hillegass, she is the best boss and a great friend and she deserves all the happiness and success in the world! If you are in Minneapolis and you haven't been to TFHG yet, you are missing out. FRIDAYFriday night was FAMILY TIME at my aunt's cabin with some of the coolest cousins that a girl could ask for. SATURDAYTHE MACKLEMORE SHOW WAS NOT DISAPPOINTING, yes Chance the Rapper's set with abruptly ended and everyone was asked to leave the Grandstand for their safety and yes I did evade those instructions and hid by the beer tent and drank numerous beers while the rain destroyed all the hard work that I put into my hair but the listening and rain subsided and the party continued! Talib Kweli went on for a short set and Macklemore made dreams come true for a lot of people as he played all of the songs that his fans identify with so strongly. I felt a unique energy during every song as people's emotions pumped through their dance moves. I make it a point to NEVER to a little rain ruin my good time but lucky for me during the weather disruption I found myself surrounded by genuinely amazing people. This great group has ties to south western Minnesota so Mr. Money was finding mutual friends left and right. One of the gentlemen was even a former legislator. After we became acquainted with our new friends we were happy to have this intermission in order to get to know our smart, progressive, local-music loving, politically involved, new friends! It seems like I am making a habit of going to great shows & meeting great people! This was one of the more amazing things that came out of Macklemore's mouth so clearly I had to Instagram the moment. SUNDAYI was skeptical that downtown would be a dead zone but I am so glad that I went into The Foundry Home Goods and opened shop for a few hours. No only were shoppers spared the dissapointment of TFHG being closed but I had oodles of super positive interactions! I saw many familiar friendly souls that I was happy to reconnect with and boast about Minneapolis to many out of town guests, I evengfave an impromptu PRICELESS IN MPLS State Fair How-To seminar. I really value being a part of the Foundry Home Goods' family and even though I am not putting in as many hours I still enjoy being in the space with the beautiful products and working with the wonderful clients when I can. MONDAYLazy morning, watched Roman Holiday and continued my on going fantasy in which Audrey Hepburn is more than just my style icon but also my best friend. The rest of the day was full of cocktails and friends that I love, a perfect Labor day.
