FRIDAY

Friday night was FAMILY TIME at my aunt's cabin with some of the coolest cousins that a girl could ask for.

SATURDAY

THE MACKLEMORE SHOW WAS NOT DISAPPOINTING, yes Chance the Rapper's set with abruptly ended and everyone was asked to leave the Grandstand for their safety and yes I did evade those instructions and hid by the beer tent and drank numerous beers while the rain destroyed all the hard work that I put into my hair but the listening and rain subsided and the party continued!

Talib Kweli went on for a short set and Macklemore made dreams come true for a lot of people as he played all of the songs that his fans identify with so strongly. I felt a unique energy during every song as people's emotions pumped through their dance moves.

I make it a point to NEVER to a little rain ruin my good time but lucky for me during the weather disruption I found myself surrounded by genuinely amazing people. This great group has ties to south western Minnesota so Mr. Money was finding mutual friends left and right. One of the gentlemen was even a former legislator. After we became acquainted with our new friends we were happy to have this intermission in order to get to know our smart, progressive, local-music loving, politically involved, new friends! It seems like I am making a habit of going to great shows & meeting great people!

This was one of the more amazing things that came out of Macklemore's mouth so clearly I had to Instagram the moment.

SUNDAY

I was skeptical that downtown would be a dead zone but I am so glad that I went into The Foundry Home Goods and opened shop for a few hours. No only were shoppers spared the dissapointment of TFHG being closed but I had oodles of super positive interactions! I saw many familiar friendly souls that I was happy to reconnect with and boast about Minneapolis to many out of town guests, I evengfave an impromptu PRICELESS IN MPLS State Fair How-To seminar.

I really value being a part of the Foundry Home Goods' family and even though I am not putting in as many hours I still enjoy being in the space with the beautiful products and working with the wonderful clients when I can.

MONDAY

Lazy morning, watched Roman Holiday and continued my on going fantasy in which Audrey Hepburn is more than just my style icon but also my best friend. The rest of the day was full of cocktails and friends that I love, a perfect Labor day.
